Construction and Operation
Throughout construction and operation of the proposed solar park, BSR Energy is committed to ensuring that the impact to the local road network, and the local community is kept to a minimum.
Construction is expected to take approximately 8 months.
We have engaged with Essex County Council for Highways pre-application advice, and the Construction Traffic route will be included in our consultation for feedback. All HGVs will access the site via the A12, exiting at Junction 18 and travelling eastbound along the A414 to the B1018 (Limebrook Way) before turning south on Mundon Road. This route uses A-classified roads capable of safely accommodating articulated HGVs.
Access to the site will be from one of two existing points along Mundon Road. Both options are under consideration and subject to public consultation discussions, though only one would be used.
A Construction Traffic Management Plan (CTMP) will be in place to ensure the safety of all road users, including Public Rights of Way (PRoW) users, and to support visibility requirements for either access point.
Once operational, the site will generate only minimal traffic for occasional maintenance visits.
